93 Eggs
Yep, you heard right. We hid 93 eggs for the kids and my niece yesterday. HAHAHA. And they found them all in about 8 minutes flat. And now we have mounds of candy. And who do you think will be the one eating most of the candy?? Ugh. Self control, Karah. Self control.

Here are some pics from our evening - unfortunately Grant was feeling like utter crap and just got progressively worse as the day wore on - poor kid!!

I Scream, You Scream
We all scream for ICE CREAM!

LOL.

The kids got some Baskin-Robins gift cards for Christmas that we never got around to using - well I decided to take the kids one afternoon last week (after a very bad mommy morning - I'll continue the story below the pictures). The kids LOVED going and tasting all the different ice creams before picking the one they wanted. :)

So on to the bad mommy morning. First off, let me explain that in the fall trimester, when it was parent/teacher conference week, the kids had minimum day every day plus they had all day Wed. off from school. Last week was the winter parent/teacher conference week. So Tuesday night the kids & I were all excited, talking about what we'd do on their day off on Wed. I had to drop something off at mommy & me in the morning but I wasn't going to stay with the older kids. We went up there at around 9:30 am. I noticed my friend Kerri was there, which I thought was weird since her son (Eli's age) is in the same district as us so I asked her where he was "Um, at school." she said looking totally confused. I just said "oh, that's weird- we have to day off!" So we leave mommy & me and I get to thinking that maybe I should call the school. I did and the secretary answered and I asked if the kids had school and she said yes. YES! THE KIDS HAD SCHOOL. They have perfect attendance records. And I didn't take them to school b/c I was an idiot. I drove them straight down to the school right then so they were 2 hours later - better late than never, eh? Well they were really upset at not being able to have a fun day (understandably so) hence the trip to get ice cream that afternoon.

What are ya gonna do. hahahaha.

Tiana-isms
Tiana is the world's biggest make-believer. She's pretending something all the time - new games every give minutes. One minute, she's the mom. The next minute she's a doggy. The next minute she's a kid. The next minute she's a baby. And on and on.

A few days ago she came up to me and said "It's Auntie Ne-ne!" I said "who is Auntie Ne-ne? Do you mean Me-me?" (that's what they call their aunt Melody). "No, not Me-me - Auntie Ne-ne is from Mommy & Me" "she is?" "she's my friend" "what does she look like?" "mmmm, she's blue - like my headband!".

HAHAHAHA.

Then there are the "honey" games she plays with Aaron. She just calls him honey, and tells him to call her honey. She kisses him and hugs him and asks him how his day was or how he's feeling. If he's laying on the couch, she'll get blankets and lay down with him and cover them both up and pretend to sleep with him. It is the CUTEST thing ever to watch!! :)

Lately she's been saying these little funny comments that leave us scratching our heads wondering where she comes up with this stuff. A few days ago I was talking to my mom on the phone and Tiana said she wanted to talk. So she takes the phone, says "hello." then says "Grandma, we have a ploblen here." (ploblen, for those of you who don't know almost-three-year-old-speak, it's "problem"). We were cracking up!!

She's also quite the little singer - she tries to warble her voice and everything. It's SO cute (except for when it's 9:30 at night and she's been in bed for 1.5 hours and is STILL singing). You know that one direct tv (I think?) commercial with Beyonce singing about upgrade something or other? When that commercial was coming on a lot Tiana started walking around singing "baby lemme upgrade, upgrade." She also knows all the words to "Part of Your World" on The Little Mermaid. But her favorite song of all is the good ol' "We Will Rock You". She has the chorus down pat but sings the verses something like "buddy nananan nanana nana hmm nanana world someday, you got blood on you face, big disFACE kickin' you can all over the place!" ROTFLOL - it's hilarious.

So there's some good Tiana-isms for ya. I'm sure there are a million more I didn't think of that I'll have to blog about later.

"S" is for "stupid"
So we got Eli's report card today. I know it's not nice to brag, but let me tell ya - I'm so dang proud of that kid!! He's such a great student - so smart, so excited about learning. He's excelling in most areas and is doing PHENOMENALLY with his reading.

We opened his report card together today, and we read it over together. There were a few areas that could use some work (like penmenship - is that a 6 or a 0?). But overall he did fantastic.

He said "what does 'o' stand for?" "outstanding."
"what does 'g' stand for?" "good."
"ooooh, I know - 's' is for 'stupid'. That's what Auntie La told me."

HAHAHAHAHA - I'm guessing she probably said "don't use the 's' word or something along those lines to make him think that - but it totally cracked me up!!! 's' is for stupid. LOL!!!!!!
