| Off to the beach |
Well we did it! We survived the first beach trip of the summer. LOL. I warned the kids that we wouldn't be going to the beach very often this summer (dang gas prices) but we finally went yesterday with my BFF Rachael & her cutie daughter Reagan. The kids had a FANTASTIC time, and it seriously gets so much easier the older they get. Last year, Tiana wouldn't go near the water unless I was right there holding her hand. Yesterday, she was pushing me away because she was "surfing" and didn't want me to help. The sky was grey and overcast but it was PERFECT weather. It was warm, but not hot. Way too crowded but what can ya do. We found a good spot right up front so we got lucky. :) Here are some pics from our day!

i'm kind of surprised that there are no pictures of you out there surfing!
unless, you already sold your board?! ...don't give up yet... someday you'll live out your dream and become the professional surfer you always wanted to be... even with four kids;)

Holy crap your kids are cute!
I feel like I might have said exactly that already....

Dan, how did you know??
And unfortunately, when you are the photographer, you end up not existing in the family albums. Sad.

Oh, I miss the beach! What fun to be able to take the kids to the beach and not have to get in an airplane! McKinley thinks she's been to the beach, but we may have to explain that Tahoe doesn't officially count. Great pictures!

I love that last shot...all the kids are in it doing their own thing! Steve feels your pain about never being in the pictures. On our recent trip to Hot Springs, we came away with about 200 pictures, of which Steve was in the group photos of all of us together that went, and he was in 3 pictures of the guys playing poker. I promised him that next time, I would wield the camera for at least a few minutes every day and get him in some shots! The kids are going to grow up and want to look at our family albums and be like "Where was Dad when we were growing up?"

I know what you mean about not being in any pics. Check out my blog www.sherisscribbles.blogspot.com and you will see why Brian doesn't take pics, lol. Not that I am a pro by any stretch of the imagination. I am rarely in any pics and when I am, I have to specifically ask for them to be taken. So there are no casual pics of me and the kids or anything. It aggrivates me when I am scrapping and such. I think I was in 2 pics from our vacation to Legoland. At least there is proof I was there, lol.
I love the last pic you posted. That is a great pic.
