Ok, here's a snippet from chapter one. HAHAHA
....
"This is Nick, and this is Chris, and the guy who's driving is Roger. If you couldn't tell, her just got his license." Lindsay hadn't noticed, but she didn't really care. All that she was thinking about was that these new guys were pretty cute - especially Ryan & Nick. She couldn't really remember any of the other one's names. She looked over at Lisa, and they gave each other smiles, knowing exactly what was going through each other's minds."
....
I think Nick is supposed to be our friend Kenny. Chris, I'm not sure - maybe Bobby? I'd have to read more of the "book" to figure it out. Roger is Aaron. Lindsay is me. Lisa is Rachael. And seriously - this is all word-for-word the first conversation that happened with these people.
And oh, it gets better. Not only did I write things that actually happened, I also started writing things from Aaron's perspective (like I really had a clue). Oh my GOSH. Did I mention that I was the biggest dork EVER???????? |

Oh, this is too funny. I love looking back at old stuff. Right after the internship I started a "husband" journal. I wrote to my future husband (who I don't think I knew at the time) all kinds of stuff. Prayers, struggles in life. I planned on giving it to my husband on our wedding day, but I scrapped that idea because it was 8 years later that I got married and none of that cheesy stuff is anything I would ever want someone to read - even the husband. :) I feel ya girl. I was/am a dork too.

At least you don't have a picture of yourself posted on the web wearing a fanny pack and a tucked in t-shirt... thanks to that lasting image, i am can now be seen as an icon for dorks the world over.
I shudder at the me that was... and for that, I have you to thank ;)

That is so funny! I have two diaries from different times, with very different themes. One is from the year before my mother died. I was in 6th grade. It has an interesting combintation of young girl silliness and the seriousness of my life at the time.
The other is my freshman year in high school, when I was the biggest dork! I had a huge crush on the drum major. I was a band geek. Now, that one is not one I would want people reading...
Please, share more of your "book."
