| The Tooth That Wouldn't Fall Out... |
So Eli's lost a few teeth already. Three of them, all on the bottom. His top teeth have been loose for MONTHS but just in the past few weeks have they gotten to the point where we knew they were going to fall out soon.
Now if you don't know Eli, let me just tell you - he's a big chicken. HAHA. I love the kid to death but he's scared of EVERYTHING. He's deathly afraid of pain, so he REFUSES to wiggle his own teeth. Even threats of having to take him to the dentist to get them pulled didn't help.
We started seeing a space form in his teeth that hadn't been there before. Lo and behold, one of his front teeth started dropping down lower - and lower - and lower. It was just hanging there by a thread - or so it seemed.
Aaron & I took turns wiggling it, pulling on it (all the while, Eli screaming and pulling away) but the thing wouldn't budge.
We left him alone after that for the most part. I would wiggle it a little bit each morning and each night but it was still stuck in there. Eli was having a hard time talking or eating at this point.
Fast forward to 10 days later...
Finally, last night during an intense game of tennis on the Wii, Eli bit down and jarred the loose tooth with his bottom teeth and paused the game and ran to the bathroom. I went in to check on him where he was rinsing out his mouth (it had started bleeding). I told him to let me see it. He yelled "noooo! Don't wiggle it! Don't pull on it!" and while he was freaking out I had already pulled that sucker out!
So now we have 3 more teeth in there that are loose. Wish us luck that they aren't as much of a pain as this one was! (but doesn't he looks so cute? awwwww). |

What a cutie! My little McKinley asks me all the time when her teeth are going to fall out because she can't wait, and I can totally see her being exactly like Eli (she's a big chicken too...) Your blog looks fantastic!

I love your new layout! It is very original, and I love your quote. It is one of my favorites, especially because it completely fits my immediate family in regards to my older brother who is our nut!
I am NOT looking forward to our boys losing teeth. It grosses me out when kids have loose teeth! I am not going to be one that is getting in there and pulling them out...I will send them over to PaPa's for that, and I guarantee you they will come back without a tooth and probably with some money in their hands :-)
